It´s not that I haven’t enough on my plate already, but I just recently set a big new goal for myself, organized everything around it and will work even harder to reach it until next summer. Since I´ve made the decision, I feel almost high all day. Even though I have long ass days to get everything done, I am just so energized with a positive vibe. I am channeling all my energy in what I want to achieve instead of wasting it on worrying about basically everything in my work and my private life. I am not sure if it´s just the new goal or if its also me finally having founds some inner piece. Maybe it´s a mix of both or maybe one causes the other. I am way more on the inside instead of non stop searching for something on the outside. Having a very clear vision what I want next helped me so much in stopping these little mind monkeys and making up imaginary scenarios all day long. I am just focused on what truly matters to me right now and not giving a damn what others will think about it.
There is nothing quite like the rush of setting a new goal that truly excites you. It’s that moment when your entire being feels charged, your mind races with possibilities, and you feel an almost boundless energy to get started. This emotional high is one of the most intoxicating and motivating states you can experience—a surge of belief in yourself and what’s possible. But how do you make the most of this extraordinary feeling? And how can you sustain the energy it brings?
When you set a goal that resonates with your heart, it feels like a spark has been ignited. Suddenly, your vision of the future feels vivid and attainable, almost tangible. This emotional high isn’t just excitement; it’s a deep alignment with your inner self. You feel alive because the goal you’ve chosen isn’t arbitrary—it matters. It’s a reflection of who you are and who you want to become.
In this state, motivation flows effortlessly. You find yourself dreaming big, seeing solutions rather than obstacles, and feeling empowered to take the first steps. These moments are precious because they provide a rare clarity—a connection to the version of yourself that believes anything is possible.
The emotional high of setting a goal can be an incredible driving force, but it’s also fleeting if not harnessed. The energy you feel now is a window of opportunity to build momentum. Use it to define your first steps. What can you do today, while you’re feeling unstoppable? Whether it’s writing a plan, making a phone call, or clearing space in your life to focus, channel this surge of motivation into concrete action.
At the same time, allow yourself to enjoy the emotional high without judgment. This is your fuel. Emotions are powerful, but they’re not permanent, so savor the passion and drive while you can. This enthusiasm will serve as a touchstone for the days when the journey gets hard. When you start to doubt yourself or feel the grind, you’ll be able to look back and remember why you began.
Of course, there’s a difference between enthusiasm and recklessness. While you should lean into the energy of the moment, it’s important to pace yourself. Like a sprinter starting a marathon, you don’t want to burn out in the first few miles. I tent to exactly do that, always. That’s why creating a plan during this phase is essential. I´ve set a clear time line and a clear picture of the next steps. I´ve included small interim goals to make the big end goal less scary. That helps me to not get lost in anxiety and the feeling ob being overwhelmed.
Following a goal that sets your soul on fire is one of the most rewarding pursuits in life. It’s a reminder that you’re alive, capable, and full of potential. The emotional high you’re riding due to that is a gift, but it’s also a challenge. Will you use this moment to set the foundation for your dreams, or will you let the energy fade without action?
The key is to trust this energy while it lasts and to commit to keeping the flame alive. When you follow a goal that aligns with your desires, you’re not just chasing an achievement—you’re creating a life filled with purpose and passion. And please, do never ever listen to the voice of fear. This little voice will always tell you not to dream big and to not take the necessary steps.
So, ride this wave with everything you have. Embrace the high of possibility. Act boldly, dream big, and trust that the energy you feel now is the first step on a journey that can change everything. What´s your next big goal?
